The condo is centrally located to Hilotown, Hilo International airport (just approximately 3 miles away, we are so close you will hear some planes coming in for a landing), farmers market, groceries, restaurants, museums, waterfalls, lava caves, snorkeling, and shopping. Peaceful walking trails along the lagoon and 24/7 security in building. Easy access to anything you'll need during your stay. Renting a car is highly recommended to get around in Hilo and Big Island. We have Turo rentals available as well the standard rental companies. We are also very close to a Biki Bike station. Please see our map in the Welcome Book. Easy assigned parking is available. Hilo has Uber, Lyft, taxi service, and a bus system called Hele On if you don't plan to rent a car (but rental car is best). Important: On the first day you arrive, please plan to check-in between 3-9PM. Once you have checked-in, you can come and go anytime. The doors going into the elevators are locked at 9PM each night by security. You will have the key once you check-in to the condo and grab your keys. Hilo is a tropical area and does tend to have bugs and ants during certain times of the year. Although the exterior of the building is routinely treated to help combat this issue and the condo is thoroughly cleaned between each guest, it greatly helps if you leave the screens shut and don't leave any food out to avoid unwanted creatures. Additionally, always remember to shake off your towels, blankets, chairs, shoes, and all gear before getting into your car because Little Fire ants are notorious for hitching a ride with you into your car and/or living spaces.
