Take a step back into history with this rustic dry cabin that has had such an incredible past! The first roads to what we now know as Mt Rushmore were developed by the family which lived right here. This cabin was also home for the first woman doctor of the Black Hills. This cabin has power & a fire stove- there is no running water or plumbing; although there is an outhouse. Enjoy the brisk mornings on the covered front porch watching deer walk through or head on over to the back deck. Sitting on 2.2 acres Also located right off the highway for easy access into Hill City, or all the surrounding lakes including Mitchell, Sheridan & Pactola! Kayaks provided under the main deck. ONLY the gas fire-pit on the deck is to be used for fires (i.e. no spontaneous fires) Inside you will find a solar camping shower. You can also shower at Three Forks Campground for $5.00. (6 minute drive) Please do NOT touch the fire stove without gloves. Please note there have been sightings of mountains lions in the area (literally in our driveway). Rattlesnakes are also known to the area. Wrap around seating on the back deck. DVD player for a rainy day if you choose to stay indoors, there is also a projector you are more then welcome to put up!
