Quiet Custom Cabin
Very custom log cabin tucked into quite neighborhood 2 miles from town. Large deck off the front and wood stove for heat. Cabin has one bedroom with queen bed and large porch off the back. A full loft also has a queen bed. A queen futon for sleeping more guests, full kitchen, and bathroom are on the same level as the bedroom. Note that the first level garage is not available for use and is locked. Also note that the stairs going to the loft are steep and not recommended for mobility impaired Second floor living area and third floor loft are available in the cabin. The lower garage level is locked for owner storage. Large parking area for multiple vehicles Feel free to utilize the outdoor fire pit with wood provided but please be aware that there may be a high fire danger at a time during your stay. Do not use the fire pit if there are dry conditions. We are available as much as possible and will respond to texts within a few minutes. While staying with us, we give you space to enjoy the area. However, we are only a text away and are often in the neighborhood. We understand plans change and therefore expect communication if there is deviation from original booking agreement. The home is situated in a quiet, wooded neighborhood on a dirt road. Located only three miles from downtown Talkeetna shops, restaurants, and music it is a quick drive, bike, or walk to/from downtown entertainment to peace and quiet at the house. We recommend having your own vehicle transportation to get to the house. We are located only 3 miles from downtown Talkeetna. Getting around town is an easy walk with options around town for renting bikes or skis, train rides, plane rides, local shuttle, or walking/hiking. If you are planning on visiting Denali National Park during your trip, the park entrance is about a 2.5 hour drive from Talkeetna. Please note there is currently NO Wi-fi connection and no TV. Enjoy the disconnect and quiet! Stairs to loft are ladder-like and very steep. Please be aware for mobility purposes and care around young children. Primary heat source is a wood stove and should only be used by experienced adults.
