A B&B is not a hotel, but rather, usually, a family that enjoys sharing their home with others. This is exactly the case here at the Bama B&B. We are a family with 5 children, 1 still living at home, and 2 grandparents. We have opened our home as a B&B because we love to meet new people from all over the country and the world! Guests who stay in B&B’s are not shy about meeting others, and they are not looking for a super-private or secluded experience. ** WE ARE OPEN. We are following CDC guidelines for cleanliness and sterilization.** Our B&B is nestled in the back of the historic Sherwood neighborhood. This is a great place to walk around and enjoy the sites! You are just 0.3 miles from the Black Warrior Riverwalk trail, Mars Spring, and the UA strip! There are helpful options such as JoyRide, Lyft, and Uber that are accessible! 1. Our preferred check-in time is between 4pm and 6pm. This is the time we like to invite all of our guests to gather for drinks, cheese, grapes, and other snacks. This gives you a chance to meet the other interesting people staying with us during your visit, and it gives us a chance to get to know you. It is certainly fine to meet us and run off early for dinner plans☺! 2. While we would like for you to arrive during our normal check-in hours, we understand that this is not always possible. If you are unable to arrive during this time, we ask that you notify us in advance. We also have guests that will want to get into bed at normal hours. We respectfully ask that if you are unable to arrive during normal check-in hours, that you notify us in advance. You will also be asked to text one of the inn-keepers at least an hour before your late arrival. This will allow us to work with you on a time that we can be back home to meet you and to check you in. 3. We do not have a “staff” on site – we’re just a “mom & pop” place. We do not mind a request for an early check-in, but please request this in advance. It takes us an entire day, from 7am until 4pm, to get everything perfect for your arrival. However, we are happy to prepare your reserved suite for an earlier arrival whenever possible. 4. We love breakfast at our B&B, and everyone has such an enjoyable time. Feel free to come to the table in your robe and slippers! We want you to feel at home, and many of our guests arrive at breakfast with disheveled hair, sleepy eyes, and no make-up on. We encourage this behavior!
