It has recently been outfitted with eclectic furnishings that provide more than mere function. There is a sense of West Coast Style that is casual & comfortable with unexpected flashes of wit and offhanded elegance. Guests will have access to the entire house except the Master En Suite. Downstairs is comprised of a soaring cathedral height living room, spacious kitchen w/half bath & a formal dining room. Upstairs includes two AIRBNB bedroom rentals plus two additional bonus rooms for guests. These include a media room with 48" flat screen wall mount TV/DVD Player - ready for hookup to guests media/laptop/netflix, etc. & our Base Camp Lounge with tables, chairs & workspaces for games, work & relaxation. Between the guest rooms is a Upstairs Snack Area that includes a tabletop refrigerator/freezer, toaster & coffee maker for those who prefer to get fully awake before descending the stairs to greet the world. The two rooms share a single full bath with double-sink vanity, glass enclosed tub/shower & strikingly simple botanical artwork. It will not be unusual for the host to be away during your stay. If he happens to be home, the level of interaction will be determined by each guest. He is gregarious and enthusiastic about providing a positive AIRBNB experience for his guests and will rely on them to establish levels of interaction they are comfortable with. The main overlapping areas of habitation are the living room & kitchen. The house is located in a quiet roundabout near parks & river. Parking is convenient and safe in driveway or front of house. Family neighborhood. Lovely backroad drives to get from Point A to Point B - most preferable to Interstate 5 unless you're in a hurry. Grants Pass guests often stay for river adventures (rafting, kayaking, inner-tubing & more), hiking & exploring nature. Oregon Caves are located about 45 minutes west near Cave Junction en route to southern Oregon Coast. Shakespeare Festival in Ashland is an international destination for theater lovers. Medford & Grants Pass have many art, antique, classic car and other festivals & events. Oregon Wineries have become a major tourist draw for southern Oregon with multiple hosted tours available and many tasting rooms for self-guided tours. Limited public transportation, but it is available if necessary. In addition to public transportation that connects between Grants Pass, Medford & Ashland (and runs within each city) - these bus lines have limited connections to Brookings, OR (on the coast) and Klamath Falls, OR (in the mountains). There are downtown trolleys that run between Historic Downtown Grants Pass, the Rogue River & Wildlife Images (a wildlife refuge open for public tours). Bikers love taking trips through the back road wineries - local drivers are very accommodating to bicyclists. The host is especially interested in providing a temporary home to travelling professionals and will work with them on weekly rates, special needs and ways to accommodate repeat stays as desired. He has a personal connection to the local hospital and health care professionals in the Rogue Valley and would especially like to host visiting health care professionals and families of patients for extended and/or regularly scheduled stays.
