Our finished basement apartment is completely outfitted to guarantee you an enjoyable stay in C'ville. Less than 2 miles from historic downtown and 2.5 miles from UVA grounds. This apartment is located in the middle of all that C'ville has to offer. The queen bed makes it ideal for 2 people to sleep comfortably. The Rivanna Trail is a 20-mile rustic "urban wilderness" hiking trail built and maintained by volunteers that encircles the City of Charlottesville. The Trail meanders through forested buffers that protect the City's streams and rivers. It serves as a community-wide resource for play, exercise, relaxation, and nature-related recreation and education. The Trail passes through many neighborhoods and connects six City parks. It is open for hiking and jogging from dawn to dusk. The basement apartment of our home has a private entrance allowing guest to have complete privacy during there stay if desired. We love to socialize with new folks but are also fine to give guest privacy if preferred. We are always available via phone, text, or AirBnB messaging to answer any questions or concerns guests might have. Our neighborhood is located off Rio Road with in walking distance to the Rivanna trail, Pen Park, and Meadow Creek golf course. It’s located between 29 north and highway 250. Less than 2 miles from historic downtown Charlottesville and 2.5 miles from the grounds of UVA. Charlottesville has many options for transportation. There are many Uber and Lyft drivers in town as well as Yellow Cab of Charlottesville (434) 295-4131. Charlottesville area transit, or CAT, is also an affordable option to get around town. We encourage our guest to park to the left of our front walkway in front of the crab apple tree perpendicular to the curb. They can then walk around the left side of our yard down the stone path, between our neighbors driveway and our house, to access the private entrance to the basement apartment. BEWARE!! Although I've gone to great means to insulate and mitigate the noise transferring from the upstairs to the apartment, you will hear my rowdy family at times. We try to keep it down when we have guests, especially at night, but with 2 teenagers and a 140 pound dog living upstairs, it is likely you will hear us from time to time. My kids can not seem to walk lightly no matter how many times I ask them to.
